While searching on Pinterest, this puts you at the heart of your audience's interests.

Sometimes, you need to niche down more.

In that case, the Pinterest search bar is your friend! Simple and powerful, too!

Compile a few words related to your niche and type them one by one on Pinterest. Watch the suggestions for searches pop up in the drop-down menu. All those words are frequent searches. Bingo!

I suggest that you spend time doing these three activities:

  • Search up Facebook groups

  • Analyse the best-performing content for your competitors on Google, Instagram, YouTube

The one thing you won’t be able to do is access the Trends tool. For that, you need to use the desktop version of Pinterest.

Why can't I search on Pinterest anymore

There are a few reasons why this might happen, but generally speaking, this is very rare. If it happens, go and clear your web browser cache. On Google Chrome, click the 3 dots on the top left, select the History menu and click Clear Browsing Data.

Obviously, other reasons could be that your internet or wi-fi is down or Pinterest servers are down. I have personally never come across Pinterest being down, yet, it could happen. In that case, give it a few minutes.

Using Pinterest boards for brand vibe for copywriters or website design briefings might feel odd to you if you’ve never heard of it. 

So here is the secret sauce.

If you’re a copywriter or web designer, you’re very familiar with things like brand vibe, tone of voice, power words, brand colours, website template styles, and so on. However, your clients aren’t.

Many of your clients will struggle to convey in words what they like with enough precision for you to turn around something they’ll love. 

Here comes a silly but true analogy! Haha!

  • I find it impossible to explain to a hairdresser what I want as a hairstyle. I don’t know their jargon. So I always make sure I turn up with a pic of what I have in mind.
